Why do believers replace grace with law?

Jesus, please reveal more to me about grace and how we believers replace grace with law.
 
Ben, My church has a propensity to go back under the law. They tend to want to prove to Me
how good and faithful they are and in the process turn away from My grace and crawl into the law.
Unless My people seek Me first for everything, they will seek out the Scriptures to see what they
can do to please or appease Me. I made it so simple and so easy, yet My people want to make it complicated.   Then there are those who desire to control and use My laws as a tool to bring about control. O that My  people would just come to Me and let Me be their guide, their lover, their friend! It grieves My heart that  so many choose to follow their religious practices rather than follow Me. Repent! And again I say repent! Turn  from your ways and turn to Me so that I can shower My precious love upon each and everyone!
