Read Matthew 1:18- 25 (New Living)
“Take time with Me. The reason for different translations is to read different ways of interpreting the same story. Sit down with Me in the living room at Christmas Mountain.”
“The story of Mary and Joseph is a love story. Joseph did not know how to react to what Mary had been told by the Angel Gabriel. One heard directly God’s voice, the other did not. It was not until Joseph had his own encounter that he was able to be at peace.”
“Now, let’s take this from a symbolic point of view concerning how you feel about your life right now. There is a part of your heart that is like Mary – that has had an encounter with God and believes the dream that has been given, and is walking in faith in the dream. There’s another part of you that’s like Joseph- where the natural circumstances of your life does not add up; and the circumstances surrounding the dreams given seem completely impossible. There were two opposing different opinions. One opinion was Mary’s; that this dream was given by God and they should continue their marriage and that the Child is God’s. The other was Joseph’s – who was not sure what was going on; and thought about canceling the marriage.”
“This is what your heart is going through right now with the circumstances that you are personally going through right now. The way to reconcile this is for you no longer to be double-minded about the dreams that I have given to you.”
“Yes, there is mystery, and there is confusion; and I want to supernaturally encounter you so that you are whole again, and you go forward with the dream that you have been given.”
“In the natural, the situation looks impossible. I want to change your point of view. I want you to take a step of faith towards the dreams that I have placed inside of you; it was I who placed those dreams inside of you; it is I who will bring them to pass.”
“So, how I want you to review this is this way: you have an impossible situation ahead of you; yet you know you are still supposed to chase your dreams. What does that look like for you? What are the ways in which you will chase your dream?”
“Be at rest with Me; and know that I am with you; and I want you to succeed. Let go of the fear and the confusion; and find rest and peace in My heart.”
