Whether you are single, engaged, a newlywed, or celebrating your 65th+ anniversary, this course offers insight into God’s purpose for marriage. We are entering into a season known as the Kingdom Age where we are to pray down the Lord’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. It is important to know God’s purpose for marriage and how to live within His covering as man and wife. Another important concept is to understand more fully the meaning of God’s grace and its role in our marriage.
Dr. Michelle Kirby, the developer of this course writes: As I developed this course, my own marriage was enhanced. My heart began to soften and see the beautiful vision God has for covenant marriage. I began to see my spouse more with God’s eyes - and toned down my tongue. My journey brought me to repentance for my judgmental attitude and closer to my dear husband who has always respected and celebrated me. I love my husband more than ever and more clearly see God’s vision for us.
It is my great honor to present Marriage in the Kingdom Age. As having received great benefit in obtaining a degree with Christian Leadership University, I was elated when asked to prepare this course for CLU and CWG Ministries. Marriage is so sacred and has been under attack since the Garden of Eden.
After months of prayer and preparing, the Lord highlighted the work of Dr. Tony Evans as well as Dr. Tim Kimmel. Dr. Evans clearly establishes covenant foundation for marriage as God established it as well as how the husband and wife are to walk it out. Dr. Tim Kimmel gives great insight into understanding God’s grace for us as individuals and how to extend that in our marriage.
As a retired middle and high school teacher of twenty-eight years, my background included a passion for meaningful curriculum development. My heart is also to offer the course in a way that extends the learner freedom to explore and meditate on the message for their lives. It was an amazing journey to spend time with the Lord who created this work through me. It changed and convicted me in my own marriage and has been such a great blessing. I pray it will be a blessing to you.
This course is offered at the undergraduate and graduate levels through Christian Leadership University. If you would prefer an enrichment version, Communion with God offers the content including a Personal Spiritual Trainer who will connect and counsel with you weekly. I look forward to meeting enrollees and am praying for your marriages.
