Cathy Kawar is a CLU student in Jordan. She is taking our Prayers that Heal the Heart training module which includes journaling questions for each area of your life. She has permitted me to blog about her five days of journaling concerning “The dreams God has for her.” As you read, allow God’s amazing love to touch your heart. Journal about these five questions and receive His wonderful counsel. Let your heart be inflamed with His faith, hope, and love.

God, what dreams do you have for my family
Vision: I see a forest and Jesus is walking and leading the way for the sheep behind Him. I then see my dad wearing a white robe and carrying a rod down the path but he is coming in the opposite direction as the sheep are moving in the other direction in a straight, narrow path. Then I see myself, at this age, sitting in the grass pulling my knees to my chest wrapping my arms around my legs, and sitting and pondering. Then I see my dad come next to me and he puts out his hand so I smile and grab his hand to stand up. We start walking in the forest as we talk. My dad is eating a fruit, and I’m enjoying my time with him. Then we see Jesus down the path and He is dressed in white and is wearing a white hood over His head and He’s carrying a rod. He puts down His hood and smiles at us. Jesus takes my dad by His side and puts His arms around him.
Jesus: Cathy, I care for you. Know that My plans are good. I know the wonderful times that you spent with your dad, but one day you will be reunited with him. I want you to focus on who you have here with you. See your family and enjoy them. You have a mother and a husband who love you, and a child that is on his way. Do not let sadness rob you of the ones who love you. The ones who you are able to make memories and make a difference in their lives. I will guide you. I am watching over you and your family. Lay down your fears and burdens. Breathe in My peace and breathe out My hope and hold on to it as an anchor for your soul. Cherish your family. Don’t focus on what and who you lost, but instead on who you have left, for they are here with you for a purpose as well. Surrender all to Me. Do not worry or fear. Trust in My mercy and goodness. Trust that I am the One who heals and redeems. Trust that I am for you and not against you. Trust that no plans of the enemy will prevail. Trust that I am taking care of your loved ones. Trust that I am a good Father. Trust that I am near to your heart. Enjoy and don’t live in the past. Yes, cherish the good times with your dad. But don’t let the past and sadness cause you to lose your focus right here, right now. I have blessed you with your family for a reason. Trust in My timings and seasons. I will not harm you or bring you pain. I want to see you flourish and enjoy them without sadness. Don’t think too much of the future and what will happen. Please, My child, don’t torment yourself with these thoughts. Live in the present and in My presence, so that you can empty yourself of pain and fear and sadness and just rest and enjoy them without fear. I love you, and I care for you.
Cathy: Amen, Lord. I surrender and choose to trust You daily that You are good and in control. I thank You for my mother, my husband, my soon-to-be son, and the family that You blessed me with. I want to enjoy and honor them and trust that You are watching over them. I love You, Lord, My strength.
