You know, I’m sitting here in front of my computer reflecting on a wonderful thing that has been happening to my email folder. It’s receiving messages from people who’ve seen Angels and other things in the spirit. Some they can explain and some they can't quite wrap their minds around.
I love reading and responding to these testimonies (so keep sending them) as they are a constant reminder that many people have seen, and are seeing, things in the spirit and that it’s not quite as weird or strange we often think it is. Oh, it can definitely be weird but I don't think the weirdness has to do with people seeing as much as what’s being seen.
I want to share with you a quote from Michael Van Vlymen that deeply impacted me:
“You cant judge what’s of God and what’s not by it’s level of weirdness.” –Angelic Visitations and Supernatural Encounters
He goes on to explain the story of Elisha throwing a stick into water, making iron float (2 Kings 6). Point taken sir.
Here’s a bit of what I’ve been receiving lately (I'll keep them anonymous) in my email:
“I dreamed that I saw Jesus suddenly by my bed, & that I told my husband that he could let go my hand now because Jesus was here to hold my hand. At that point, I woke up.”
“I saw this angel by my bed, gently pushing me back to lay down, saying “Peace, Peace”. I then felt Peace.”
“One morning some years ago, I dreamed that I saw this bright form going toward heaven, & that a bright form at heaven’s door was meeting the form going to it. I knew that it was my mom going.”
“My aged friend saw a green haired woman spirit on Tuesday. He was quite fearful of, was pointing his finger at saying she was here to take him away. He past away 2 days later, he was 98. We think it was an angel that was charged to escort him to Glory. In the Bible, many Angels said, "fear not, or don't be afraid" possibly because they look powerful and scary to us.”
It’s happening. People are seeing and experiencing and…it’s okay! It’s great in fact. But we don’t want to be deceived. We’ve got to have some balance. Not everything seen is good and from God. I know that and I know there is a lot of darkness in the spiritual realm as well.
But I was thinking earlier that over the years I’ve heard more about people seeing demons than people seeing Angels or other heavenly beings. My point is that it doesn’t seem like we’re generally unaware that there is darkness out there. At times it’s seemed more like we’re unaware that there are agents of God out there waiting to reveal themselves for His purposes.
It’s not all good but it ain’t all bad…not by a long shot. An overwhelming percentage of people I meet on my job as a firefighter/paramedic are more than aware of the evil surrounding them. Many of them see demons, hear their voices…the whole 9 yards. What they need to see is the good. They need to see the army of heaven poised to rescue them. They need to see the love of Jesus as He stands before them inviting them into His arms.
We need that as well. When it comes to seeing in the spirit we need to stop fear from directing our gaze to darkness only and allow for the Holy weirdness of God’s realm.
