I met a woman at a well and had a conversation with her about the Kingdom of God. In the course of this the details of her background and life situation came out, and she was self-conscious about this and changed the subject to one of religious practice.
At the conclusion of our conversation she returned to her village to tell the people about me. Should I have discouraged her by saying that her background disqualified her from spreading my message? Yet on the basis of her testimony many believed. Be ye perfect, as your Father in heaven is perfect, but don’t be too eager to reject a message because you are too familiar with the background of the messenger.
