Hi! I'm wondering whether you still share your journaling with someone else and why you would? Evidently when you wrote your book on the "4 Keys" you still did. Is it just a safeguard to always do that?
Great question, and the answer is "Yes, I still submit my journaling to my spiritual advisors if it calls for a big decision (a large investment of time or money), is something way out there, or is something I am unsure about." The reasons are simple:
- God only lets us see a slice of His truth. That is why He says in the multitude of counselors there is safety (Prov. 11:14). As a teacher, I see through the eyes of a teacher. The prophet through the eyes of a prophet. The pastor through the eyes of a pastor, and so forth. So I only tend to get a part of the answer.
- Christ makes us part of His Body and lets us know we need the entire Body to function effectively (1 Cor. 12:12-27).
- Meekness is an extolled quality, and submission is a demonstration of meekness (Matt. 5:5).
- The biggest and best corporations use teamwork to create goals and achieve breakthroughs. We should, too.
- It builds faith in my heart when someone says, "Yes, that is God speaking!"
