We are sad to see Dr. Karen King leave our CLU staff after 11 years of blessing our students with her service. However, we rejoice with her over the new season the Lord is bringing her into! Karen has started a church in Ohio, and as it has continued to flourish her pastoral responsibilities have become more demanding, making it difficult for her to continue on as a CLU instructor.
Karen has been our primary instructor for the graduate level Christian Leadership University students, and we consistently received wonderful reports from students who loved her and felt their lives were radically transformed by the CLU courses they took with her.
Student Testimonies Concerning Dr. Karen King
I would like to take this opportunity to send a special letter of thanks and appreciation for Dr. Karen King. This semester has been particularly challenging for me... Dr. King has been very supportive and patient with me, always sending words of encouragement and inspiration. Her compassion and discernment is truly an amazing gift. I can clearly see the Spirit at work through Dr. King as she was able to pray directly over my situation as she interceded for me without my having influenced her prayers in any way. She spoke specifically to the mountains tormenting me and has ignited within me a new resolve to overcome the enemy and to live in victory through Jesus Christ.
As a representative of Christian Leadership University, Dr. King has gone above and beyond the call of duty. She has demonstrated true Christian character, spiritual courage and insight, and has exemplified remarkable leadership skills in her ability to educate, inspire, encourage, direct and support me. She has inspired me to become more attuned with the Spirit and more vigilant in exercising my spiritual authority and dominion over the enemy. She has sown many wonderful spiritual seeds in my life and I will be forever grateful for her prayers and genuine concern for me. Dr. King has touched my life in more ways than she can imagine. She is a pillar of strength and has been an Angel of Mercy on so many occasions. She has strengthened me during my times of weakness and has inspired hope within me to overcome my challenges by faith.
Please extend my gratitude and appreciation to Dr. Karen King. She is truly an amazing gift to the body of Christ and to Christian Leadership University.
Blessings Always,

I would like to appreciate Dr. Karen King, she is a very good professor. She has my assignments and exams graded and returned in the shortest time possible. This helps me stay focused and I then know if I am doing the wrong thing. I have taken a number of online classes and sometimes I never heard back from the professors after asking a question. She stands out and I am very impressed with the way she works. She is a servant leader and a good example. I just wanted to give praise where it is due.
God bless you,
Besa Katebe
I had Dr. King as my instructor and I wanted to take this moment to appreciate her enthusiasm and her ability to motivate her students. I know so much of her effort can go unnoticed by others, but I want you to know that I do notice her willingness to do above and beyond that which she is called to do.
Thank you again, and I truly appreciate CLU and Dr. Karen King.
Sincerely,
Vera Orok

A New Book Coming Out “. . . But God! “ By Rev. Dr. Karen Joy King
“Life isn’t about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!” —Beth Moore
Karen King shares inspirational real-life stories about God “dancing with us.” There is no such thing as mere luck, for God is constantly with us and cares about us. Sometimes we can see His hand very clearly. Sometimes it may not be recognized until later, when we look back and fully realize, Oh yeah, that certainly was God, (a “… but God” moment)!
May these short stories bless, encourage, and enable you to recognize when God has protected, provided, or helped you.

Dr. Karen King was the best
by Anonymous
Dr. Karen King was the best teacher I had in life and exemplified the love of Christ that was within her. I feel that she will be an incredible loss to CLU and am glad that she is a Pastor and that God will definitely bless in her ministry in that church for Pastoring is the first calling. I am glad she thrived and that I had a chance to learn from her. I learned so much for her, not just from her courses but from her as a person. She genuinely cared about her students, which is not true about all teachers. She instilled grace in me and even helped to conduct a private graduation ceremony for me when I received my doctorate and masters degree from CLU!
