My dad was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer about 2 weeks ago, and my sister and I enrolled him in hospice care during my visit there. He and my mother are both over 90, both have cancer and are in hospice care but are not yet in pain, and are still roommates in the same care facility. There is no longer any real interaction between them so this isn’t as romantic as it sounds, but they are still living congruent lives.

Dearest Dale, I am so sorry to hear that your Dad is having to face this new challenge to his health. I am praying for his healing in Jesus Mighty Name! Just yesterday evening at prayer group we were praying for a lady who had been healed of leukemia. The hospital had re-called her due to the negative results of a blood test, hence our praying for her. I remember asking God to erase the “bad report” and re-write it with a good one. Not 5 minutes later, a gentleman joined our group with the news that he had just got off the phone with the lady and told us that somehow when she got to the hospital the blood tests were negative for any sign of cancer which left the staff in great consternation! Nothing is impossible for our God!!! Yours in Christ, Mandy Lotter in New Zealand.

I am truly sorry this is happening to your dad. We all pray for a peaceful departure when our time comes to go home. And so I would pray for your dad. And mom as well. Hospice was a great help and aid to my husband during his final months. May our God of all Comfort guide and sustain you and your family in the journey that lies ahead. Love and blessings in Christ Jesus.
