Reminder: We want to hear your stories!! You don’t have to be a writer, author, or anything like that to share a testimony. I’d love to hear and then share your favorite testimony of how God used you in someone else’s life. No story is insignificant. Any way God has used you to bless someone is extraordinary and we all need to hear about it.
Please email your story to jbirkey@jessebirkey.com and I can get it out to uplift and encourage us all.
Now, here’s one more from Leslie Kelzenberg.
Pick Up That Phone
So, I am a stay home/ home school mom. I held a part-time job for a year just for some "me time." Anyway, I believe it ended up being a ministry opportunity with little insights into God's Kingdom that were shared with co-workers.
I awoke the other morning and a young lady came to my mind. She is a new RN with a wonderful care facility I had worked at part-time. She had recently been promoted to a new position. I don't know her well, although always encouraged her to trust the Lord with her career whenever we did visit. So, as I am lying in bed the Lord is dropping the word, stay on course, stay on course, and referred to her as My beautiful girl. I prayed for a little while longer, then drifted back to sleep.
This young lady came up on my heart again a couple of days later and I felt I was to call her. This is a little awkward since in the natural I know she loves her job (great opportunity that the Lord opened up for her) and everyone loves her work.
I called and she didn't answer (yay) so I left a message explaining that the Lord laid her on my heart. I shared the words the Lord dropped on me and hung up.
Much later in the day she called back. She could barely speak through the tears, and told me that she was looking for a new job and was so fed up with her current work. She was feeling alone and hopeless. She had been asking the Lord what He wanted her to do. She felt an incredible weight lifted and confidence to continue on. We talked a little longer about prayer support and listening for His guidance and His voice.
Hope this encourages someone to pick up the phone and call when the Lord prompts them.
