LaWanda – O Jesus, precious Lord. Forgive me for allowing myself to be distracted by everything under the sun, taking me away from my time with you. Thank you, Lord, that you do not keep a list of all our failures, that you choose to remember them no more because of Jesus. Thank you, Father God. Thank you that your mercies are new every morning for I sure need them every day. ♪♪ I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice to worship you, O my soul rejoice, take joy my King in what you hear, May it be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear. ♪♪
I see you today, Lord, teaching a small group. I am at your feet, Lord, with my head on your thigh. O what peace is mine here. O what rest is found here. I am weary of “trying”, Lord, and at your feet I don’t have to. I don’t have to do anything except rest here and absorb every word you say. Thank you, Jesus, my precious, precious, Lord. Thank you for restoring my soul.
Jesus – LaWanda, My dear one, precious daughter of mine. My rest is always available to you. You do not have to be at My feet to receive it, but I do like it when you place yourself there. I love it when you are intentional about coming to Me for rest. You have learned that My rest can be found nowhere else. You can rest your body by taking a nap but your soul needs Me to find its rest. O precious one, come to Me often. Turn to Me. Say My name and even these simple things will bring you rest. Rest from striving, from trying to BE whatever it is you think you need to be. Rest…simply rest…in Me.
