The ultimate goal for a Christ-follower on this earth should be as is stated in Ephesians 3:19, “and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God.” We are to be conformed to the image of Christ, which means to be filled with the fullness of God.
I asked the Lord to elaborate on this: “Abba, what are You saying to me through Ephesians 3:19?"
His answer: “I love you with all of My heart. I perfectly love you. I cannot love you any more than I do! I want you to fill your heart with My perfect love. Saturate your heart by journaling verses that talk about My love for you and how I showed it by suffering for your sake. Ask Me what I am saying to you specifically with each of these verses. I AM love. When you fill your heart with My perfect love, you will learn to love yourself which will give you love for others more, as well as for Me. You cannot love others if you don’t love yourself. This is the second greatest commandment and is like the first - to love your neighbor as yourself. You must love yourself by being filled with My perfect love or you will not be able to love others with the love they are all searching for - My perfect, unconditional, Agape love. Do it, be filled to overflowing with My perfect love!”
