Do you expect the law to be applied consistently? This is an important aspect of the rule of law, that the same laws apply to all. Do you think that the same principle should apply even more strongly in my Kingdom in which the laws are perfect? You follow certain practices and abstain from others out of reverence for me, and you see your brother not following the same rules. Does this make you eager to judge him? Would this be a violation of your own rules? The Biblical case study involves the eating of meat offered to idols, but the same principle could be applied more broadly. Let every man answer to his own master.
