Have you heard of an easy activity described as a walk in the park? You may not describe the Christian life this way, but how about a walk in the garden? This is what I did with Adam, and what is available to you by the redemption I offer. Would you argue that you don’t live in a paradise? My creation is still good, and when you encounter the fallen aspects of it I offer you a transcendent life where you can live above it all even in the midst of the pain and sorrow that this world brings. Have you learned that who you are with is more important than where you are? I want you to see that my presence with you creates paradise wherever you are.

Keeping my eyes on Jesus
by Anonymous
I learned during my long, extended illness that it's easy to focus on the pain instead of keeping my eyes on God. I knew God is my healer because He has healed me so many times before, but I couldn't understand why He didn't heal me this time. I tried everything I had ever heard to get God to heal me. At one point a minister told me, "If you'll do this…God will heal you." I did it. God didn't heal me. In fact, I got worse. God did heal me, but not in the way I expected. Isn't that just like God. But, I learned that I was focusing on the pain, exactly what the enemy wanted me to do. As I focused on the pain I prevented the healing from coming through. I'm not sure I knew how to focus on God. Since then I've learned to just praise him, thank him, be in constant contact with Him through the Holy Spirit. Conduct my two-way conversations with the Holy Spirit who tells me what God The Father and Jesus are saying to me and about me. This gives me the transcendent life that allows me to live above in the midst of the pain and sorrow of all life throws our way.
