Do you think of fear as something that is forced upon you by external circumstances? My word teaches against fear and says the fearful and unbelieving are outside my Kingdom. It implies that fear is a choice and a decision rather than a response to a stimulus. Everyone faces some uncertain circumstances, and some are fearful even when there is no threat, and others have peace when facing open hostility and adversity. Recognize that your fears originate within you. This puts you in a position to understand them and deal with them effectively. Do you think that strength and security will triumph over fear? I tell you that love casts out fear.

choosing to feel Fear or to be afraid.

In response to your blog on fear.
I can assure you, most assuredly, that I did not and do not choose to feel afraid. I became increasingly aware of fear/fearful of driving in heavy traffic over a period of time after being a visiting nurse for some 5 years. I used to drive over 100 miles a day in all kinds of traffic in my county in Florida.
Today I drive but avoid those types of roads because of the horror that it is for me.
I have fasted, prayed, declared and continue to declare faith-filled fear-free Words from the Bible and continue to believe that one day I will be free or at least my mind and flesh will not feel fear.
Please do not indicate that fear is a choice. It is not; it is I believe, a demonic stronghold.
I have been delivered from many things in my almost 60 years of life and know that my God is All Powerful and my Healer..
I am a Blood-bought child of God and I am Spirit-filled and I LOVE the Lord.
My belief is that Christians/people who say that fear is a choice do not pray for people for whom it is a problem and I believe there is some arrogance and pride involved in that.
In true humility and not in anger I say -
'Blessings to you'.
