Do you look forward to going to heaven? You should, even though you may not be eager to depart right away. What do you look forward to? Gold and jewels? These things represent material wealth on earth, but you will have no need of material wealth in heaven.
Receiving a crown? Yet the 24 elders who have received crowns in heaven cast them before my throne. Here is something to look forward to – so shall you ever be with the Lord. I know you entirely and absolutely, better than you know yourself, and in that day you will know as you are known. Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither has it entered into the heart of man the things I have prepared for those who love me.
