Have you ever performed an intervention? These may be rare, but if your friend has problems so severe that he is either unaware of them or unable to take the steps to act in his own best interest then you may decide out of love to intervene in his life to assist him in dealing with it even though it isn’t requested or appreciated. This is a risky thing to do, and your friend may become alienated and reject you. Have you ever needed an intervention yourself? Would you be able to identify the conditions that require it? Blessed are those who can examine themselves and conduct interventions on themselves.
