In most schools material is presented according to a curriculum. This organizes a complex course of study into individual lessons. There is too much to assimilate all at once, but the curriculum divides it into manageable pieces.
If properly designed they build upon one another to provide an overall picture and result. I deal with you the same way. I have much to teach you but you are not able to bear it all at once. Do you encounter daily ‘lessons’ that don’t seem to fit into a big picture? Yet it is the teacher rather than the student who has control of the curriculum. Trust me that everything has a purpose in completing the good work I have begun in you.
