suffering for good?

Have you experienced the pain of rejection? You may think you will gain acceptance if you are good and rejection if you are not, but you can suffer rejection for righteousness. This is harder to understand, and both experiences are painful, but isn’t it better to suffer for doing well than for doing evil? In this case you have my comfort and consolation. In either case you are not free to reject those who reject you. They may not be on the same path you are, or not as far along. It took you a long time to get where you are. Perhaps you rejected others who were further than you when you first started. Give grace to others where they are as you would have them do to you.
