Holy Lord God, my heavenly Father, Daddy, when I read through Joel again, my attention was drawn to Joel 1:14 and 2:15. You so wanted Your people to return to You that You desired them to consecrate a fast as part of the process. Today, I hear little about proclaiming fasts as part of bringing Your people, Your church, back to You. What do You say?
Ben, that My people would realize how great is the power of fasting! It truly is a sign of humbling. I want My people to spend time with Me, including fasting. Fasting sharpens one’s spiritual eyesight! It opens doors into the supernatural world where I live. Encourage My children to set aside time for fasting. I do not want them to be legalistic. I do want them to be led by My Spirit as to how and when to fast.
