Donna Childress shares this vision (I met her at GLOBAL last week): I would like to take time to share a vision that I had while in Washington DC. I recently moved to Mechanicsburg, PA from Myrtle Beach, SC. I received an email from my friend Kathy in Myrtle Beach about one of our friend’s named Annette. Annette received a word from God that she was to go to Washington DC and pray around the White House on April 1, 2014 and also pray around the Capital Building the next day. She was also instructed to email a few friends so they could pass on the message that she was going and to meet her in Washington if anyone was interested.
They did not know how they were going to pay for their trip or where they were going to stay; they were depending on God to provide. When I heard about it, I volunteered to let them stay with me and I told them that they could drive back and forth because it was only a couple hours away. I also felt led to go with them. Here is what happened upon our arrival in Washington.
Question: I just read an article by Mark Virkler on hearing the voice of God. One of the key things that was stated was that while you are praying, it is needful to vision the Lord. I am still learning how to get still / quiet to hear the voice of God. My question is, how does one vision the Lord within themselves when in reality they haven't seen Him in the flesh?
Yes, I do disagree with many of the recent high profile Supreme Court decisions. I have discovered that if I fix my eyes on the government I will be continuously discouraged and the opportunity to rejoice without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:16; 1 Pet. 1:6), and in everything gave thanks (1 Thess. 5:8) and for everything give thanks (Eph. 5:20) will be vanquished from my life, and I will live depressed! Yuck! So what do I do?
I have written this blog because I have had four people in the last three weeks approach me with fear that they had committed the unpardonable sin.
The unpardonable sin is: "hardening your heart so it no longer responds to the Holy Spirit."
Let's explore the role of the Holy Spirit in our hearts, so we can respond properly and continuously to His leadings.
On the cross, Jesus' blood was shed once as an atonement for all sin. As we respond to the conviction of the Holy Spirit, and in faith accept Jesus' shed blood on Calvary to wash away our sin, we are cleansed and born anew by the Spirit.
Our fellowship with Almighty God is restored! We can experience daily walks with Him in the Garden. Sometimes I walk with Jesus along the Sea of Galilee and sometimes Jesus asks me to come meet Him at His place, so we stroll through the courts of Heaven! Relationship is restored!
