The other day I found myself in an opportunity to minister with some awesome brothers of mine, to a person who was not a believer and whose experiences with Christians has been mostly negative. 

The other day I was in the gym when I looked through the window to see an older man limping down the sidewalk.  When I saw him I felt the familiar stir of the Holy Spirit and knew that God wanted to touch the man in some way.

I was scrolling through some Facebook threads the other day when I came across something that I just had to comment on.  You think I would’ve learned my lesson.  Just kidding, it was all good.

In my time with the Lord I’ve been hearing a lot about rest.  It seems that the Lord has been pulling me more and more towards the importance of learning how to rest in His presence.  I even had a dream a few weeks ago in which I was in our prayer room and looked at the window to see that the Lord had written the words, “Rest in Me” in the condensation.  

The other day I transported a woman to the hospital that was feeling terrible.  She’d been throwing up for days and hadn’t been able to eat or drink hardly anything.

On the way to the hospital I began asking her some questions.  She began to tell me all about her problems with alcohol and how she drank half a gallon of vodka every day.  She said that she wanted to get help, to go to a rehab facility. 

The other day I was walking through a parking lot and noticed an older woman a little bit ahead of me.  As soon as I saw her I heard the Lord speak the word “blessing”.  So I asked the Lord if He wanted me to let her know what He thought of her and I had the distinct sense that He did.

So I was sitting across the table from a good friend of mine at the local Bdub’s.  That’s Buffalo Wild Wings for those of you who aren’t down with the lingo.  It was probably a year or so after my wife Kara had confessed (read about that here) and already we were seeing God do some amazing things in our individual lives and marriage.

A few months ago I wrote about an opportunity I had to pray for a blind man.  I talked about how I let that opportunity pass without doing anything.  If you don’t remember it’s HERE.

After I let that opportunity pass without taking the steps the Lord was urging me to take I was determined to pray for the man at the next chance I got. 

The man we were praying for was young, maybe early 20’s.  Through experiences with this young man over the past day I knew that he was searching.  His heart was crying out for something more, something greater than he currently knew.
