I was hungry.  I had just finished at the gym and was waiting for my turkey sub being prepared by the amazing sandwich artists at Publix.

Miraculous healing testimonies are getting harder and harder to ignore.  With all of the verified healings readily accessible through media outlets like YouTube, being a Cessationist can’t be easy today. 

I had a weekend that you might call interesting.  I’d call it interesting in a lot of good ways.  An interesting that I’d like to see become even more and more my “normal”.

The last couple of days have been an interesting experience as I’ve had the opportunity to evaluate candidates who are seeking to be hired for the Fire Department I work for.  Its interesting seeing people who are in the position I was eleven years ago.  People excited and nervous about starting a career.  It’s a huge deal.   

In the past my wife and I often struggled with finding intimacy with God.  One of the biggest reasons for this was the fear that when we spent time alone with Him all He was going to do was point out everything in us that was wrong. 

Testimonies are so important to us as believers.  Many times we don’t recognize just how crucial they are until we find ourselves in the midst of craziness and we read an account of how the Lord brought someone else through the same things.

Mmmm…cookies.  My friend Paige will now think of nothing else for the next several hours.  Can’t blame her.  But I digress…

When do you think is the most opportune time for Satan to tempt you with a familiar sin?  Call it an addiction or not, we all have struggles that are more familiar to us than others.  When do you feel most tempted to give in?

So you know when you’re just casually reading the bible and suddenly a section of words jump off the page as if they were highlighted in flashing neon lights?  Yeah that happened to me the other day.

It’s getting a little harder to find free pictures to go a long with these so maybe I’ll just post random pictures of my family that have nothing to do with what I’m talking about.  Anyway,

We had just dropped a patient off at the hospital and I was strolling through the halls looking for someone we had transported earlier.  I suspected this particular man had had a stroke at some point during the night before.
