Contrary to the secularized health care system of the western world, the Bible establishes health care as a ministry which falls under the jurisdiction of the priests:
"And THE PRIEST shall look at the mark on the skin of the body, and if the hair in the infection has turned white and the infection appears to be deeper than the skin of his body...he shall pronounce..." (Lev. 13:3).
Abdicating Health Care - Was it a Wise Move?
When the Church decided to secularize health care, it removed from the education of western doctors and nurses, and from their practices and policies, God, the Bible, and Spirit-anointed revelation, as well as the anointing of the Holy Spirit to heal. Thus, traditional health care went off track with resulting death and destruction to the patients under its care.
Today, God is raising up an alternative approach to vibrant health which incorporates the Bible, Spirit-anointed revelation, the healing power of the Holy Spirit and several biblically-grounded natural lifestyle practices.
The Christian must explore, understand and avail himself of all biblical and Spirit-anointed approaches to vibrant health. Applying these could save your life, as well as the lives of your friends, your families and your loved ones.
The book Restoring Health Care as a Ministry evaluates 31 health care modalities, both traditional and alternative, to see which are compatible with biblical principles. The book concludes with the suggestion of a methodology which integrates biblical, non-invasive, natural, and spiritual approaches to health care.
Our prayer and goal is that God will raise up Christian Lifestyle Centers in every community. These centers will offer biblical, spiritual and natural approaches to vibrant living.

2000 B.C. - Here, eat this root.
1000 A.D. - That root is heathen. Here, say this prayer.
1850 A.D. - That prayer is superstition. Here, drink this potion.
1940 A.D. - That potion is snake oil. Here, swallow this pill.
1985 A.D. - That pill is ineffective. Here, take this antibiotic.
2000 A.D. - That antibiotic doesn’t work anymore. Here, eat this root.

There Are Many Ways to Be Healed!
“God has appointed in the church… miracles, then gifts of healings…” (1 Cor. 12:28)
- Greek is: τρ πστις ν τ ατ πνεματι, λλ δ χαρσματα αμτων ν τ ν πνεματι
- Both are plural - χαρσματα & αμτων (charisms of healings)
I desire and prefer immediate miracles (see blog on Miracles – 7 Step Model). However, the Bible states that in addition to miracles, God has provided to us “gifts of healings” (both “gifts” and “healings” are plural in the Greek), which means there is a multiplicity of ways in which God can and will heal us in addition to providing an outright immediate miracle. God’s gifts are special enablements to perform various skills (i.e., Ex. 36:2-8; 1 Cor. 12:11; Col. 1:29; Gal. 2:8).
The Bible emphatically declares that we experience life when we live out of the wisdom and power of the Holy Spirit and we are cursed if we trust in our own strength.
"It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words (rhemas) that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life (Jn. 6:63).
Thus says the LORD, "Cursed is the man who trusts in mankind and makes flesh his strength, and whose heart turns away from the LORD (Jer. 17:5).
These verses really make me passionate to fully understand and embrace His power!
We know it is the release of God’s power that brings healing and deliverance. We want to understand this power as well as we possibly can. Our passionate question is: “What does the release of God’s divine energy (energeo) feel like, and what does it accomplish?” We want to gain an understanding of how God uses the word energeo.
