A lady just wrote that she began teaching the Prayers That Heal the Heart course, and came under assault of demons. Her relationship with her sister fell apart. She slipped on the ice and got a concussion. She wanted help! I asked her if she had her armor on.

As we explored we discovered, she had unresolved anger and bitterness, so NO, her heart was not covered with the breastplate of LOVE. Parts of her armor were off, so she had a chink in her armor or a break in her hedge of protection, and the serpent was able to strike (Eccl. 10:8 KJV). She went to work praying through her anger and bitterness so her protective armor would be complete.

Many Christians ignore demons entirely, and have never cast out a demon. Other Christians go to the opposite extreme, attributing every pressure in their lives to satan harassing them. What is the biblical balance?

I had a hard time sleeping because I was struggling with answering questions, like, “What exactly is the baptism in the Holy Spirit?” and “How exactly does the gift of tongues fit in?” The Lord impressed me that rather than fuss over exactly when we receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and whether speaking in tongues is “the evidence,” how about we explore the real issue, “Am I living and walking by the Spirit each and every moment of my day?

I have had several people tell me, “well, I read your book and tried what you said and it didn’t work for me.” To see if they know the truths in the book I respond by asking what exactly they tried. If it was the four keys to hearing God’s voice, they often only tried a couple of them, and when I ask them what the 4 keys are, they generally are not even able to state all 4.

The Dream: I was angry at myself because I had not performed up to my standards. Then I got angry at others because they had not performed up to my standards. So I was just plain angry!!!

I awoke feeling angry.
