Coaching or discipling is the method Jesus used to train the twelve disciples.
When you team up with someone ahead of you in an area to mentor you, and you share your questions and steps of growth with them, receiving their counsel in return, you ascend more quickly into mastery in that area. Healings in Kenya - Update from Pauline Burthwick
About 11 years ago I ministered in the church of a pastor in Kenya. At that time, I would leave with them your teaching materials on “4 Keys to Hear God’s Voice, Counseled by God, and Prayers that Heal the Heart.” I am not sure how much he really applied them at that time, but I know he did read them and still has them as a reference. He has apostolic and prophetic giftings. I have mentored him over the years and there have been times in his own life where he has dealt with depression and other life stresses, as most of us do.
Dr. Paul Yonggi Cho (name changed to David Yonggi Cho) passed away September 14, 2021. In addition to building the largest church in the history of Christendom (nearly one million people), he had a life-changing impact on me. I was honored to meet him personally while I worked at Full Gospel Tabernacle in Orchard Park, New York. Pastor Tommy Reid introduced us and let us sit in his office to talk for a bit.
