This blog contains a similar format to FLOW - Easily Experience God's Anointing
We make “seeing Jesus at your side” one of the four keys to hearing God’s voice. Hearing God’s voice is as simple as quieting yourself down, fixing your eyes on Jesus, tuning to flow and writing.
The four keys to hearing God’s voice
- Stillness: Become quiet inwardly
- Vision: Behold Jesus with you
- Spontaneity: Tune to flow
- Journaling: Record the flowing thoughts, pictures, and emotions
Hearing God’s voice is as simple as quieting yourself down,
fixing your eyes on Jesus, tuning to flow and writing.
The KEY is the synergy created as you use ALL four together!
Expanded and extended
We cover these four keys in depth in our books 4 Keys to Hearing God’s Voice, Dialogue With God, many blogs and video clips, and review them in many of the other books we have written.
Nearly 100 people have now put these four keys into the books they have written. This is all promoting a revolution in the body of Christ as people come alive to dialogue with God daily. This is something they had never been taught they could do easily and daily.
The Western Church has, by and large, rejected vision
I recently dialogued with a coach who trains people they can hear God’s voice, and this is the center of his inner healing process, but he omits teaching them to use the eyes of their hearts and see Jesus. I suggested including seeing Jesus, and he was not receptive to the idea! Well if a picture is worth 1000 words, then he has just reduced Jesus’s healing touch to 1/1000th of what it could be for his clients. Tragic!
Yes, I do admit that for the Western world, hearing comes easier than seeing for the majority of people (including myself), but leaving people blind just doesn’t work for me. We have both eyes and ears in our hearts so let's learn to use them both.
The New Age talks a lot about visualization, dream interpretation, and holding a vision before your eyes (Just Google the phrase "vision visualization dreams"). The list that comes up is endless. How many churches offer training on using the eyes of your heart, dream interpretation imagination? Are we going to give our birthright to the New Age movement, and force any believers who want to use the eyes of their hearts to go to the New Age movement to receive their training? I think NOT!
Let these precise biblical principles and definitions concerning the use of the eyes of your heart, provide safety and ease as you intentionally present the eyes of your heart to God to fill.
- Seeing visions cannot be hard, because Jesus said that we are to become as children so we can enter the Kingdom of God. Well, children sure see and visualize a lot.
- God presents the Bible to us, most largely as a book of stories, which of course paint pictures. Jesus told parables, which of course paint pictures in our minds (Matt. 13:34).
- Therefore God is BIG on pictures. I assume it is because He knows that a picture is worth 1000 words (Gen. 15:5,6)
- I am to begin with a godly imagination, which is defined as picturing things the Bible says are true, and then invite the Holy Spirit to take over this picture Eph. 1:17-18). I tune to flow. Jesus brings the scene alive. As a flow of pictures occurs, I am stepping from a godly imagination into a vision. If I do this daily, I can see the Fathers initiative all the time, just as Jesus did (Jn. 5: 19,20,30)
- The intuitive/spontaneous flow of thoughts and emotions that I then write down comes from the vision being held before my eyes; therefore, I am careful to always see Jesus with me, so my journaling remains pure (Ps. 16:8; Acts 2:25; Matt. 28:20).
- Jesus will always be predominant in all my pictures; for if He is not, then whatever I am seeing that is more predominant than Jesus is an idol in my heart and results in distorted journaling (Ezek. 14:4; Num. 22:15-35).
- An illegitimate picture is any scene that does not contain Jesus in it (Heb. 12:1-2).
- I live in godly imagination - picturing things God says are true and seeing Jesus in the picture (1 Chron. 29:18 KJV).
- I renounce evil imaginations - picturing evil things where Jesus is not in the picture (Jer. 16:12 KJV).
- I reject vain imaginations - picturing what I want - and Jesus is not present in the picture (Rom. 1:21 KJV).
- I am aware that emotions are by-products of the pictures I am gazing upon. Therefore I can easily guide my emotions by asking Jesus for His pictures and then gazing only upon them.
- I honor night-time pictures: I go to sleep asking God for revelation through my dreams (Num. 12:6; Ps. 16:7). He grants it!
An anointed Church transforms the world!
Jesus continually commissions me with the words: “Let My people see!”
We need the Church to be anointed and alive with the power wisdom and healing touch of God! We need this revival. The world needs it. The nations need it. We can offer vision, peace and power to people if we can explain simply and clearly how vision occurs and call people into it.
I do not want the Church to sell its birthright to the New Age movement because we can’t clearly define vision or we are afraid of them. What a travesty.
Let’s forever uproot the lies that vision is of the devil, that it is hard, or that vision is uncommon.
Jesus lived in vision all the time, doing only what He saw His Father doing. Jesus is our perfect example. We CAN live as Jesus lived and we can teach others to do so also.
Let’s break satan's lies, release God’s anointing, and restore the church and our nations. If we don’t, who will?
Journaling question: Lord, what would You speak to me concerning using the eyes of my heart to see You?
