daily word - your choice

Dale Cresap's picture

Are you familiar with the story from the garden about eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? This is used by theologians as an event that established conditions that exist to this day. Do you think this was a one-time once only story, and that this decision set the course of conditions to follow forevermore? Do you think this rule was made for Adam and Eve but not for you? I tell you that this commandment applies to you, and that you face this decision every day.

Muslims Coming to Christ Through Visions of Jesus

Mark Virkler's picture

Biblically speaking, vision and seeing in the Spirit are to be part of our evangelistic work. Not only did Jesus see vision all the time (Jn. 5:19,20,30), but look at the prominence of vision in the missionary work of the book of Acts. The scriptural evidence is overwhelming. Below is a listing of verses from Acts followed by testimonies on the web showing Jesus is still appearing in visions today, converting Muslims. We need to expect the voice and vision of God will be key in our evangelistic outreaches today. Evangelism is to be supernatural!

A Witch Doctor Gives His Life To Jesus After Demons Are Bound

Mark Virkler's picture

This story is in the form of an email dialogue I had with Pastor Erick from Uganda.

Pastor Erick – Mark, I need your advice. Two months ago, 213 students gave their lives to Jesus during school outreaches where I share daily messages about how to hear God’s voice. Part of this training is having them share what God has spoken to them. Two months ago, when 213 students joined the fellowship and gave their lives to Jesus, a certain girl aged 19 years also gave her life to Jesus. When she told me her father is a witchdoctor, I gave her a copy of Your Extraordinary Life and a Bible.

Eternity in Our Hearts

Charity Kayembe's picture

I have written previously on the timeless dimension, The Eternal Now of God. While it has been over four years since I originally posted that article, I continue to meditate on the revelations shared there. The more I pray into God’s perspective on time, the more freedom I feel in every area of my life. When we see what God sees, the way that He sees it, everything changes.

Speaking Your Journaling Back to the Lord as Your Personal, Present-Tense Reality

Mark Virkler's picture

In working as a Personal Spiritual Trainer Coach with individuals, I get to read and affirm their journaling. Following is a dialogue I recently had with Patricia, a lady I am coaching as she begins two-way journaling.

Patricia, This is great journaling. Here is what I suggest. Turn the statements into positive, present-tense, confessions, just as David did in the Psalms. For example:

Angel High: A Dream Interpreted by Charity Kayembe

Mark Virkler's picture

Today my daughter Charity shares an insightful dream, some excellent keys for interpretation, and the message God gave her through it for us.

This post reminds me of Exodus 33, when Moses told God that unless His presence went with them, Moses didn't want to go. Indeed, it's not always about where you're going, as much as Who you have beside you.

Be blessed!

Initiative - Should I Take It? by Charity Kayembe

Mark Virkler's picture

My daughter Charity has an excellent word about Jesus' example for us. He lived out of divine initiative, doing only what He saw His Father do and heard His Father speak.

How can we make that work in our everyday life? What does it actually look like for us? Charity gets into all this and more and I trust you'll be blessed by the message she shares.

Enjoy!

Seeing: Is It a Gift or a Skill? by Charity Kayembe

Mark Virkler's picture

My daughter Charity has some great thoughts about seeing in the spirit and hearing God's voice. Is the ability to sense the spirit a divinely-imparted gift bestowed on a few? Or is it a skill that we can all learn to cultivate and develop through time and practice?

You'll appreciate her word and I trust it will be a great encouragement to you to keep pressing in for all the Lord has for you.

Be blessed!
