Several years ago, I found myself feeling weary in prayer. At the time, I was involved in a class at church where we were encouraged to set aside time each day for stillness and listening to God. I realized that I had developed patterns in my prayer life that reflected patterns elsewhere in my life - it was as if I rushed in to God's presence with my list of prayer requests in hand, recited them, and rushed out again, without allowing time for listening, and receiving from Him! No wonder I felt weary!
Well, I have received a lot of response to the three-part series I wrote on the ketogenic diet, so let me try to answer a number of questions that were posed to me.
Question 1: I read, "Here are the many scientific studies that support the ketogenic diet" and "My body tells me it works". But what does the Scripture and your spirit and your journaling say about it? Maybe a part 4 blog to address the spiritual/scriptural aspect would be very helpful. AND...
The river within you (John 7:37-39) comes from My throne. It is like a river within you. It will flow all the time. It doesn’t want to stop. It will flow through you to others. It is designed to produce love and happiness and rest for the surrounding people. And also for yourself.
When something crops up healthwise in my life, and I want to find the most recent, trustworthy, natural and spiritual advice available which could help resolve the issue, where do I go? I don’t just want to Google the condition I have, as that will pull up all sorts of websites, some of which are untrustworthy and some of which are not offering natural solutions. What do I do?
This is the time of the year that we as Christians have set aside to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, some 2000 years ago. It is a wonderful season of the year, filled with love and hope and promise of a new tomorrow because of the provisions Christ has made for us.
