New Book by Dr. Raynold Milfort - Anointed Discipleship

Mark Virkler's picture

I have waited for this book to be written for many years. One statement I love in this book, which also expresses the main theme of the book, is that "to fulfill the Lord’s commission to disciple nations, people have to see wonders, miracles, deliverance, healings and even experience the resurrection of the dead through the power of the Holy Spirit.”

This is the form of ministry and evangelism Jesus practiced. Jesus ministered a compassionate, loving, healing touch to all He encountered. The Church today must do the same. This book will help you minister and evangelize in the same manner as Jesus.

Dr. Raynold Milfort has received his doctorate from Christian Leadership University. I was proud to write the above endorsement for his book, Anointed Discipleship. THIS is what will fulfill the Great Commission.

I Really Want to be Part of a Small Group that Is ANOINTED and LIFE-GIVING!

Mark Virkler's picture

When I began pastoring in the late 1970’s, we created small groups which met weekly for sharing, Bible study, prayer for personal needs, and fellowship. Everyone completed the assigned study during the week, and came to the meetings prepared to share what God had revealed to them during their meditation upon Scripture. We worked our way “Through the Bible” with a 2-year program. Years later, people have commented that this was the place they received their grounding in Scripture.

Romancing the King of Kings

Mark Virkler's picture

Romance is at the heart of the universe. It is the key to our existence. As Christians, we are engaged to Jesus, ruling with Him now, and soon to become His bride (Rev. 21:9; 3:21). So let's learn the principles of romance!

Just as our earthly romance with our spouse is composed of acts of endearment, so is our romance with the Lord Jesus Christ. We covered the ingredients of a good marriage in this blog, now let's apply them to our romance with the King of Kings. These concepts are from the Four Gifts of Love® Online Institute and their website is highly recommended.

Create and Sustain Romantic Love to Last a Lifetime

Mark Virkler's picture

Imagine the passion of romantic love being kept alive all through your lifetime. Is it possible? Absolutely! The pain of a divorce or living with a stale marriage is impetus enough for each of us to choose to invest deeply into keeping romance alive in our marriages. If first love is lost, the Bible is clear that we can go back and do the things we first did and restore our first love (Rev. 2:4,5). Now that is exciting! The principles below can be applied to restoring our first love with God and our marriage partner.

According to the Carnegie Institute, 85% of financial success is communication skills. My guess is this 85% success rate extends to every area of life, not just financial success. We need excellent communication skills with our spouse, our family members, at church, at the workplace, and in social gatherings. What are the skills that God would have you develop to become a better communicator? The two-way journaling questions below will allow God the opportunity to instruct you concerning enhanced communication skills.

Hearing the Lord’s Voice and ACTING on What He Tells Me to Do by Tom P.

Mark Virkler's picture

This past year I’ve been doing extensive two-way journaling.  For a committed left-brain, analytical person, it’s been an eye opener.  Two-way journaling has addressed a long-standing desire of mine to hear the Lord’s voice, so I could not only have a deeper relationship with Him but also receive wisdom and guidance for the work He’s called me to do.  It’s helped me not only get in touch with the Lord’s heart, His love and compassion, but also better understand the desires and purposes God has placed in my heart; the good works He has called me to do.
