Do you notice that people are becoming more interested and concerned about the nature of their food and where it comes from? I addressed this question long ago in the context of dietary laws, and in the eating of meat sacrificed to idols.

Do the troubles you face seem to be random and meaningless? You may see no purpose to the flat tire, the injury, the loss of a job. For those with no spiritual vision these range from annoyances to calamities to be dealt with and move on. They are present in the life of every person.

My word promises that when as few as two or three are gathered in my name that I am there in the midst of them. Have you ever been in the presence of other Christians and not sensed that I was present at all?

Do you notice that children like cartoons and are drawn to them? Didn’t you do this yourself when you were a child? And that adults usually prefer them the least of all alternatives? Adults put away childish things.

Do your dreams make sense to you? If you think they are random thoughts then you will not take them seriously. Kings and others in the Bible knew that their dreams had meaning, even if they did not understand the meaning.

Do you think of a white flag as a flag of surrender? It would be more accurate to describe it as a flag of truce. In military terms it is an appeal for a ceasefire to meet for a parley. The corresponding passage in my word is come and let us reason together.

Do you encounter those who claim to believe the entire Bible and have never been troubled or doubtful about any part of it? Does that make you wonder if they have actually read it? Peter said of the writings of Paul that they were hard to understand even though they were scripture.
