What would you do if you had been struggling with excruciating pain and no one could figure out why? You’d seen pastors and counselors and been prayed for. You’d seen doctors and specialists and been tested. All the results kept coming back normal, but you could no longer even go to work because of the debilitating pain in your body?

Well, if you’re Brian McLaughlin, you would tell your doctor you believed God was going to give her a dream in the night, and then she would know what to do!

Have you ever wondered what happens when we pray in the Spirit? When our mind doesn’t understand what we’re saying, who does? And what do they do when they hear this supernatural intercession?

I love hearing stories of supernatural encounters and the last time we offered free access for a limited time to our Everyday Angels training series, testimonies poured in! Secondly, I wanted to share with you a few of these amazing experiences with the Lord of Hosts and His heavenly hosts. You will be so inspired to hear what some of these angels said and did and I hope the examples encourage you to press in for ALL that God has for you.

Many times we receive messages from God through our dreams, but we don’t recognize or understand them. Scripture reveals that God speaks over and over again while we sleep, we just aren’t aware of it (Job 33:14-18). For example, often if a dream feels dark, we automatically dismiss it. If we are being chased in our dream or if we are somehow under attack or feel threatened, we assume the dream is just our own fears manifesting at best, or the enemy influencing us at worst.

While not as common today, many of our biblical heroes interacted with angels. For example, Daniel engaged various angels in visions by day and in dreams by night (Dan. 7–12). Similarly, Zechariah had a long-ranging conversation with “the angel who was speaking to him” that lasted no less than six full chapters (Zech. 1–6).

Just because a dream is frightening doesn’t mean it’s not from God. When the Lord established His covenant with Abram, the Bible says that as deep sleep came upon the patriarch, “terror and great darkness fell upon him” as well (Gen. 15:12). Likewise, when Jacob awoke from his dream of the heavenly ladder, he, too, was afraid (Gen. 28:17).

Some people wonder, Why should we see angels? Why learn about angels and how could we actually work together with them anyway?
