This is a shortened version (only 22 minutes) of the devotional New Creation Celebration - Replacing Emotions which is 40 minutes. In this devotional we omit the section concerning processing an emotion and begin instead with the next section, which is processing ungodly beliefs.
So days when you hear yourself thinking or muttering things which are contrary to Scripture, like: "I will never succeed," "There is never enough money," "I can’t handle the pressure," "I can’t do this," "I hate life," etc. are days to use this devotional.

Sometimes I forget to take steps I know I am supposed to take. Sometimes I haven’t been taught what steps to take. Reading a book is not what I desire. Have you felt it, this year, and in years past? Love, peace and joy are in the air. People become friendlier. It is God’s Spirit of love, poured out across the earth. For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten son (1 Jn. 4:9). We celebrate and feel His love, joy and peace every Christmas season. And yes, Dec. 25th may or may not be the exact day Jesus was born, but to me it makes no difference. We have chosen this day to commemorate His birth.
Do you have a theology concerning the role of kingdom emotions to release a miracle? I sure didn’t. I just scorned emotions as being soulish. However, 37 years ago when I began hearing God’s voice through two-way journaling, God reminded me that Jesus, moved by compassion, healed (Matt. 14:14). So I accepted, intellectually, that there was a place for emotions.
In working as a Personal Spiritual Trainer Coach with individuals, I get to read and affirm their journaling. Following is a dialogue I recently had with Patricia, a lady I am coaching as she begins two-way journaling.
Patricia, This is great journaling. Here is what I suggest. Turn the statements into positive, present-tense, confessions, just as David did in the Psalms. For example:
