Anointed in the Oil of His Presence - Journaling Prayer by LaWanda

LaWanda – O Jesus, precious Lord.  ♪♪ Nothing else will do.  Nothing else will do.  Caught up in your presence, I just want to sit here at your feet.  I’m caught up in this Holy moment.  I never want to leave.” ♪♪

O Jesus, I see you today standing behind me as I am doing my Journaling Prayer.  Your hand is on my shoulder.  I stop writing just to be in this moment with you.  You aren’t saying anything.  You don’t have to.  Your touch is everything.  O Lord Jesus, what a gift you have given us by allowing us to come into your presence.  Thank you for the Cross, Lord.  The Cross makes everything possible.  ♪♪ “Thank you for the Cross, Lord.  Thank you for the price you paid, bearing all my sin and shame in love you came and gave amazing grace.” ♪♪ Thank you Jesus, my precious, precious Lord.

Jesus – LaWanda, my dear one, you are right.  All of your blessings flow from what was done on the Cross.  Satan thought that he had won.  But like he often does, he miscalculated.  He forgot WHO he was dealing with.  It’s like the passing thought he had that he could be like ME - that he could BE ME - became a stronghold of bitterness and hate that possesses him, even to this day.  He will stop at nothing, dear one, to achieve his goal.  He IS like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.  Remember those programs on National Geographic that show the lion’s stealthy approach.  So stealthy that the prey doesn’t even realize that he is there.  And then, in an instant, the lion pounces.  He grabs the prey by the neck and kills it.  But you have also seen times when the prey, for whatever reason, got away.  This is you.  This is the believer grounded in My word and soaked in the oil of my presence.  This fresh anointing makes you slippery, LaWanda, and try as he might, Satan cannot hold you.  He cannot get his claws in you.  This is the importance of coming to the secret place.  It will keep you anointed in the oil of my presence and make you slippery to the devil.  He will continue to attack until the day you die but if you will stay in My presence, the attacks won’t hold.  You will slip right out of his grasp.  They will be an annoyance and a frustration but not a devastation.

So come my dear one and continue to walk in the garden with Me in the cool of the day.  It is protection for you… and a blessing to us both.
