I received this question from one of our Christian Leadership University students who is completing his master's degree.
Question – How do you write a book or a thesis?

Lopini Tupou asks:
The Holy Spirit led me to consider writing a proposal for my Christian Leadership University thesis. Considering that this is my first thesis, I'm sure you already know the anxieties it can bring. At the same time, I am very excited to engage in this project, considering it's a clear sign of my faith. It's very revealing and encouraging to discover that what I thought was not possible, is possible. I must say that since my studies and meditation with CLU, I have transformed into someone that my family has come to respect. This journey with CLU has been my lifelong dream and goal, which I had always viewed as a faraway reality. Today, I am so close to achieving and reaching this goal.
Answer from Mark Virkler – Write from “flow”
Lopini, my advice is:
- As you write, keep your eyes on Jesus, Who is at your side.
- See Jesus speaking to those you are writing to.
- Tune to flow.
- Write from flow.
- When flow is not there, stop writing until flow returns.
You will do fine. The above steps are the steps I take as I write and as I teach. When I write, I feel God's pleasure.
Lopini responds
Thank you for your time and help Dr. Virkler. Since I started using your steps of: (1) keeping my eyes on Jesus (2) seeing Jesus speak to the audience (3) tuning to flow and (4) writing from flow, I found this to be the key to an effective writing experience. I'm excited and feel much more confident because of your input. Thanks.
Shalom
