In the chart below you will see that the death rate in the USA from Covid-19 is plunging, and is currently down 72% off its peak.

One unfortunate statistic of this pandemic is that 50% of the deaths have been of those in nursing homes and long care facilities. Right from day one, we were told that those with health ailments and weakened immune systems were the most vulnerable to the coronavirus. Florida was focused on protecting those in nursing homes and they kept the death rate extremely low. Unfortunately, some other states did not use the same protective measures as Florida.

So my question becomes, how do I maximize my health and strengthen my immune system? I have given a lot of thought to that over the last 28 years. I have written over 100 blogs on vibrant health and several books on health. It is hard to know who you can trust for accurate information. Nurses are being fired and then filing lawsuits against hospitals for processing inaccurate numbers about Coronavirus cases and deaths. Here is research provided by the National Center for Health Statistics. The SECOND table at this link is incredibly interesting. It shows in the first row that overall, for the entire United States since February, we're only at 107% of normally expected deaths!

The chart then follows with a state by state list of percentages that have died as compared to the same period of time in previous years. Most states are below 100%, meaning fewer people have died this year than in previous years. New York City skews the whole thing like crazy, because it's at 210%. Florida, the state where I live, has had 99% of expected deaths, which means fewer than normal when compared to previous years. And yet, the news media screams, "Be afraid!"

So why would deaths be down? Well, we have fewer car accidents because of less driving. We have fewer operations in hospitals as they have been told to stop non-essential surgery. And you can probably come up with other reasons why the death rate in your state is less than 100% of what was expected based on previous years.

Life Extension is an excellent resource for health information. I have followed them for 25 years. They have had many skirmishes with the FDA over the years, trying to get the FDA to embrace new remedies. In most cases, the FDA has adopted these remedies about 10 to 15 years after Life Extension first proposed them. So I see Life Extension as "ahead of the curve." They have created a website on the coronavirus which they update continuously. I highly recommend it.
