The Entire Church Is Lying in a Hospital Bed - By Elizabeth Ellynshaw

Mark Virkler's picture

My journey in learning to hear God’s voice has been very similar to Mark Virkler’s journey. Like him, I was taught that hearing God’s voice myself did not exist or was bad and wrong. Like him, I set aside a season of life to seek God about this, and like him, I learned from God to hear God. I was very encouraged when, years later, I read his book 4 Keys to Hearing God's Voice to see that what God had taught me and what God had taught Mark Virkler was the same. However, I was very grateful for the book, for unlike me, he was able to put what I was doing into words!

Perfect Peace When Your Imagination Is...

Mark Virkler's picture

"The steadfast of mind (“Yetser” =imagination) You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You (Isa. 26:3).I memorized this verse as “The steadfast of mind…” but it is correctly translated, “The steadfast of imagination You will keep in perfect peace, Because he trusts in You.”

How Did King David Live in the Continual Presence of the Lord?

Mark Virkler's picture

Did you know that King David visualized the Lord at his right hand all the time? I sure didn't. Not until Brad Jersek showed me Acts 2:25. David said of him, I saw the Lord before my face at all times, for he is at my right hand, so that I may not be moved” (Acts 2:25 BBE). “I have set the LORD always before me …” (Ps. 16:8 KJV). King David knew how to abide in the Lord’s presence (Ps. 91).

I Only Saw Blackness But Now I Can See!

Mark Virkler's picture

Q. I know vision is one of the four keys to hearing God's voice, but I just see blackness. What should I do?

A. There are actually 2 people in 100 who can't see anything on the screen inside their minds. When they try to imagine, they get nothing. It is now being suggested that this is a medical illness affecting 2.5% of the population which needs treatment by a doctor, if it is treatable at all.

I have polled congregations for years and found 2 in 100 say they can't see anything at all on the screen inside their minds. So, yes, my experience correlates with what the health profession is now claiming.

How Can I Envision Jesus When I Haven't Seen Him in the Flesh?

Mark Virkler's picture

Question: I just read an article by Mark Virkler on hearing the voice of God. One of the key things that was stated was that while you are praying, it is needful to vision the Lord. I am still learning how to get still / quiet to hear the voice of God. My question is, how does one vision the Lord within themselves when in reality they haven't seen Him in the flesh?

Initiative - Should I Take It? by Charity Kayembe

Mark Virkler's picture

My daughter Charity has an excellent word about Jesus' example for us. He lived out of divine initiative, doing only what He saw His Father do and heard His Father speak.

How can we make that work in our everyday life? What does it actually look like for us? Charity gets into all this and more and I trust you'll be blessed by the message she shares.

Enjoy!

Training Your Child to Encounter Jesus - Godly Imagination & Visions

Mark Virkler's picture

Introduction from Mark Virkler: Once children are taught to use their imaginations, they can step from godly imaginations (i.e., picturing things the Bible says are true), directly into visions, and they can do it a lot easier than adults can. Read this story of a two and a half year old named Lance, as told by his father Brent Engelman, and you will be brought to tears!
