I quiet myself. I fix my eyes on Jesus. I tune to flow. I ask: “What is it You want to speak to me about the [2012 US Presidential] election, Lord?”

I quiet myself: “I am here, Lord. Oh, how I love You. How I rejoice that You are alive! You conquered sin and death! Hallelujah! My Lord is risen! My Lord is risen, indeed!”

I sing to the Lord: “Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. Open the eyes of my heart. I want to see You. I want to see You. To see You high and lifted up. Shining in the light of Your glory. Pour out Your power and love. Holy, holy, holy. You are holy, holy, holy. I want to see You. I fix my eyes on You, Lord. You are the author and finisher of my faith. My sweet Jesus. My King Jesus.”

Note to reader: This two-way journaling entry is about some of my honest challenges as a mother of two amazing, brilliant, beautiful sons who I adore. My boys are 8 and 5 ½ years old. I homeschool, but I believe what the Lord spoke to me is truth that will encourage all parents.

I quiet myself: “I love You, Lord. I am here. Open the eyes of my heart that I may see You, Lord. Open the ears of my heart that I may hear You, Lord. I want to see You. I want to hear You. I love You. My life is in Your hands. I submit to You. I lay down my life before You. Have Your way in me, Lord.”

I quiet myself: “I am here, Lord. I ask for vision. Open the eyes of my heart that I may see You. Open the ears of my heart that I may hear You. I am listening. I look for You.”

I quiet myself: “I am here, Lord. I ask for vision. Open the eyes of my heart, Lord, that I may see You. Open the ears of my heart that I may hear You.”

I sing: “Open the eyes of my heart, Lord. Open the eyes of my heart. I want to see You. I want to see You. High and lifted up. Shining in the light of Your glory. Pour out Your power and love. You are holy, holy, holy. Holy, holy, holy. You are holy.”

[Note to Reader: Several people have asked me how I receive interpretations of my dreams from the Lord.

I quiet myself. I sing in the Spirit: “Here I am to worship. Here I am to bow down. Here I am to say that You’re my God. You’re altogether lovely, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me.”  I speak in tongues, building up my Spirit. I feel my Spirit coming “forward”.

I quiet myself: “I love You so much, Lord. To Your faithfulness there is no end. I worship You with all that I am. I watch for You. I ask for vision. I listen for You. Open the eyes of my heart and the ears of my heart that I may see You and hear You.”

I quiet myself: “I am here, Lord. I watch for You. I wait for You. I listen for You. What is it You want to show me today? What is it You want to speak to me today?”

My Lord responds: “Together we will subdue the earth. I have given you all power and authority over every evil thing. I returned to My Father and sent My Holy Spirit that you could be baptized by My power and My fire. It’s not in your strength, but by the power of My Holy Spirit that you will do even greater things than I did on earth.”
