In my devotions, as I watched the Sea of Galilee DVD and walked with Jesus along the Sea of Galilee, I told the Lord I would like to see my mother. She died when I was one year old. When I was born, my father said I looked like a rat and expected that I would die since I only weighed 3 pounds 6 ounces, and this was 1952 when babies that size did not live. I spent my first 30 days in an incubator so there was no bonding at all with my mom. We lived with my grandpa and grandma for a year or so and then my dad married again. So, I experienced all the rejection that comes with those circumstances.
When I saw the Prayers that Heal the Heart series, I bought it and went through the series several times. Many things got better, but I still was bothered with the belief that I was not wanted by my parents.
While walking along the Sea of Galilee with Jesus, we were suddenly transported to heaven where we stood in a meadow with very green grass. I saw a young version of my dad there along with a beautiful young woman. Her face was flawless. I recognized her from pictures I had seen. It was my mom.
My dad picked me up (in this vision I was probably about 3 years old). I don't remember my dad ever picking me up. My mom leaned over and touched my face and said, "My sweet Becky, I always have loved you and I always wanted to be your mom." My dad just kept smiling.
Then, just as suddenly as the vision began, I was back on the hillside with Jesus and He started to laugh and said, “I love all My kids."
As a result of this heavenly vision, I no longer live in fear of what people think. I do not assume that people will reject me and I am very sure that Jesus loves me and that I am okay just the way He made me. God is so good. He blows me away!
I have given away about 10 or 12 Sea of Galilee DVDs to anyone who will take them. Everyone needs to receive one of these. I share it with anyone who will listen!
