Oh, Jesus, thank you for this sweet song from so long ago that you brought to my mind today. Yours truly is the sweetest name I know. Thank you, precious Lord, for loving me so. Thank you for never leaving me and for your promise to never loosen your grip on my life. NEVER. You will hold me as close to you tomorrow as you are holding me right now. This, as the song says is peace in “all of life’s ebb and flow.” O Jesus, thank you that your name is the highest. It is the greatest, but I thank you on this day that it is also the sweetest. Greatest and highest are for all the world but sweetest is personal as you whisper my name and hold me close. Your left hand cradles my head, while your right hand holds me close. I am at rest in your love, my precious Lord. And there is nothing sweeter than that.
Jesus – LaWanda, my dear one, this is what coming to the secret place will do. Yes, it is here that I reveal the “revelation-secrets” of my promises to you. But more importantly than that, it is where I reveal MYSELF to you. When you commune with me in this intimate way, you are able to see me, to KNOW me, in ways that are just not possible any other way. And this, dear one, is where the sweetness comes from. It is tender. It is loving and it is kind. You can get this sweetness no other way because there is no other One like me. O how I love it when you come to me and sit at my feet, resting your head on my thigh. Not asking for anything, just wanting to be with me. Just wanting to be in my presence. O LaWanda, my dear one, this communion was why you were created. I receive the blessing that you bring every time you come and sit before me.
I know all there is to know about you but even in eternity you will never know ALL of who I am. But in this moment, you cannot begin to imagine the joy it brings to me when one of my children desires to know me, when YOU desire to know me, LaWanda. You are honoring Me by coming to the secret place and I have said that I will honor those who honor Me. The seed of your time that you are sowing into the secret place with Me is where all your spiritual harvests will come from. You will sow other seeds and reap other harvests but this seed into the secret place with Me is the basis for all the others. It is good ground which will cause the seed to take root and flourish. Keep sowing into the secret place and you will continue to reap the exquisite knowledge of who am as I reveal more of Myself to you each day.
