So, are you ready to battle some demons today? Where is the battleground? How do they attack? How do we fight them off? Here are some wonderful easy answers from the verses below.

Spiritual warfare is casting down imaginations and thoughts that are not from Jesus.

For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled. (2 Cor. 10:3-6)

Additional Greek meanings for the words in the above verses

  • Weapons - tools
  • Warfare - military service
  • Carnal - pertaining to the flesh
  • Casting down - destroying
  • Imaginations – computation, thought
  • High thing – to fortify, lofty arrogant thought
  • Exalteth itself – lifted up, raised up
  • Knowledge of God - ginosko which is intimate knowledge

Paraphrased summary of Spiritual warfare – I demolish any imagination or picture in my mind that is contrary to the God I intimately know. I attentively listen to Christ and bring my perception about the situation into submission to what He is saying! (2 Cor. 10:3-6 KJV)
