God's Voice of Hope in an Age of Gloom

The daily news media is gloomy, the nation is off course, and lies and evil are constantly inundating us. We are trying desperately to fight off depression and despair amid the terrible swampland we find ourselves in.

Jesus, our Wonderful Counselor, desires to speak to each of us every day, providing us with wonderful counsel. Jesus made us a promise: “My sheep hear My voice” (Jn. 10:27).

For example, today He spoke this to me: Mark, I keep you in perfect peace if your mind is stayed on Me. I did not concern Myself with Rome when I walked the earth. I only focused on what My Father was saying and showing Me. Because of that, I was filled with faith, hope, joy, and compassion. I healed the sick and the brokenhearted and set the captive free - which is what I want you to do for each person today.

If you gaze upon evil, you are filled with darkness (Jer. 7:24). If you gaze upon Me, you are filled with light (Heb. 12:1-2). So fix your eyes upon Me. Receive My perspective and My direction for each day of your life. If you do, you will be filled with life, faith, and hope.

After ten years of searching diligently to hear God’s voice, He taught me that it was simple enough for children to do (Mk. 10:15). I quiet myself, fix my eyes on Jesus, recognize His voice and visions as flowing thoughts and flowing pictures, and write them down (Hab. 2:1-2; Rev. 1:9-11). Wow! Could it really be that easy?

Forty years after the above revelation, I have had the honor of leading millions to easily and daily hear God’s voice and be transformed through living encounters with our living God.
