“Lord, what do You want to speak to me concerning law and grace?”
My friend, law or instructions are the things that set the boundaries for our relationship. That’s all. So many people worship My instructions and neglect Me. They are proud of their ability to memorize a list of things to do or not to do… and they even take on a new language as if because they have tuned their tongue to speak Hebrew that that is a milestone for them.
Don’t misunderstand Me. There are many revelations as My Spirit instructs you and guides you along the path. There are hidden revelations to uncover and it is a joy watching as you dig in and study.
But don’t forget about Me. I am the Living Word made flesh. I am the letters in person. I am the Aleph and the Tav (Alpha and Omega). And I am right here, right now beside you, with you, and in you. Think about that.
You could read a book and gain wisdom or knowledge. Or you could have a relationship with the author of the book and, along with the wisdom and knowledge, receive understanding. ‘Get wisdom’ is written. And with all the wisdom ‘get understanding.’ That comes from our relationship. It comes from maturity.
Remember telling your sister to stay away from the charcoal grill on Green Lee Ave? What did she do? You had gained understanding as a little boy when the curtains caught on fire, right? She gained understanding from the grill.
No. I didn’t want her to be burned. But even children have a mind and will. And they can be brought up in the best of homes and environments and understand very little. Others, not so. Poverty, abuses, famine…none of these are from Me. Generations have rejected Me and others have neglected My call to ‘go’ and tell them about Me.
Oh, their hands are so bloody! You have seen what a little can do in a poor village. You carried My gospel to many who were unreached, and Our Father worked many mighty miracles confirming His Word. Larry, there are many still waiting.
Walk in My love, stay in My presence throughout your day, and make it ‘Our Day!’ Think on that! Every day should be Our Day! When you walk in My love, there is no need to ‘remember’ the instructions, the boundaries. Why? Because when you walk beside Me, I will guide your every step.
And I will not allow the enemy to place a stumbling block before you. I will be the Light needed for your path and I will be the Lamp to brighten your way. Don’t be afraid to be heard talking with Me. Remember when Lazarus was raised from the dead? I prayed to the Father openly so all would know that He hears Me when I speak with Him and He answers too!
I have given you lots to chew upon today, My friend. Return to this conversation today and ponder it. And be ready for some unexpected opportunities to arise today. Then you will know that it was Me there with you all along the way!
