LaWanda – O Jesus, precious Lord. When I hear the song “Gratitude,” it immediately takes me into the preciousness of Your presence and all that You are, all you have done… for me. I grab my journal and hold it close to my chest as the tears flow. O Jesus, precious Jesus, holding it close to me makes it somehow seem like I am holding You, Lord. I do not want to let You go. I am undone by Your love.
In this moment, Lord, I stand in Your embrace and simply let the tears flow. O Jesus, I could spend eternity here.
Jesus – LaWanda, my dear one, my precious one. How I long for my children to let Me hold them in My arms. Do you know that Father’s arms are meant for this? It is His longing as well as yours. Even as He stands looking to the horizon for the prodigals, He stands waiting for you. You do not have to be a prodigal; He is waiting for ALL of His kids to come home. Even if you came last week, even if you came yesterday, even if you came a few minutes ago, His everlasting love awaits you again and so does His embrace.
