Read MATTHEW 1:18-24
“It’s been a long day, My child. Come, and rest with Me. Look into My eyes, I see your tiredness and need for rest. How you long for the magic of the holiday to heal you!”
“Walk back into the living room with Me, and I want to sit in the comfy chair. I have some hot apple cider for you to drink.”
“I am here. Let Me add some wood to the fire, as you listen to quiet Christmas music in the background.”
“Now, be at rest. Yes, you have thousands and millions of questions on your mind. Remember, that the Word is a place where you can learn to hear from Me, to hear answers from Me.”
“Why meditate on the same Scriptures over and over again? It is because the purpose of My Bible is for you not just to read about history and theology, but it is an invitation to encounter My love and presence in your life.”
“I see the heaviness in your heart today. I am not mad at you. I am here with you. I see how deeply you want to do the right thing, and know the right answer. The Word is the starting place for encountering Jesus. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life. Knowing truth is found in Him.”
“Yes, you have meditated on this story before, let’s meditate on it again, and find fresh bread in the midst of this story.”
“Remember the story of Joseph. He was a young man, who was in love with Mary and excited to get married. Then Mary came to him and told him that she was pregnant. This part you know full well. The emotions that Joseph had was to try and understand the right thing to do. Using reason, using his own understanding, he was distraught within himself. He felt overwhelmed by the confusion in his heart to do the right thing. His desire was to love God and to love Mary, and not do the wrong thing.”
“His heart was open and he heard the angel speak to him at night in a dream, who revealed Scripture to him. The angel revealed to him that what Mary was speaking was true.”
“Joseph’s response then was to reunite with Mary, and then reconciliation came.”
“So what am I trying to say to you? Well, I know that you have many questions about the direction of your life. You are looking for answers and you are wrestling within yourself for those answers. You feel overwhelmed, sad and discouraged.”
“I am here with you. I want you to know that I am not mad at you. I am not mad at you. I see your tiredness and discouragement with all of the questions. That is why I am directing you to go deeper in My Word, go deeper into My love for knowing Me. The deeper you go into My Word, the deeper and more real My voice becomes to you. The Bible was always meant to be a living book. It is living and breathing and inspired. It is not just a random collection of Scripture.”
“This Scripture becomes the starting point for you hearing My voice through dreams, visions and through the stillness of the night.”
“In the Nativity story, it is the wisdom of God that brought peace and direction to Joseph’s heart. This is what I want you to know- that My voice and My presence desires to come and bring peace to your heart.”
“Do not be afraid, little child. I am here to protect you; I am here to help you make the right decisions. Let Me remove the pain, the fear that you feel inside.”
“Only when you are at rest in the Father’s love, can you hear clearly My voice. Come, into this rest, so that I may provide you with clear answers, clear vision and revelation.”
“Let Me speak to you now deep healing for your heart, and I will comfort you; and provide direction.”
