Kingdom Relationships Release Kingdom Power - 36 "One Another" New Testament Commands

Mark Virkler's picture

We have learned in this blog that we must abide in kingdom emtions if we want to walk in kingdom power. Jesus moved by compassion healed (Matt. 14:14). All of life flows out of an intimate loving relationship with God and with others. Lyle Thomas, breaks the 36 "one another" commands in the New Testament down into 5 categories: honor, serve, encourage, build unity and don’t judge. As these five attitudes are expressed effectively from our hearts, kingdom power is released to heal and set others free (Isa. 61:1,3).

As members of the body of Christ, we are members one of another (Rom. 12:5; Eph. 4:25) and we are to walk in fellowship with one another (1 Jn. 1:7)

Journaling Application

  • Lord, please speak to me the ways You would have me express honor, service, encouragement, unity and acceptance toward my spouse, family members and acquaintances.  Picture each of them, one at a time and record what God speaks concerning them. Stick with this journaling topic for several days or weeks until you sense you have internalized the communication style God is asking you to take toward each of these relationships.

  • Come back to these questions anytime you sense that you have fallen out of relational mode and the Spirit's anointing has become weak.

Are you like many western Christians who have been taught little about how to sense their spirits? This training was birthed from Mark’s passion to live out of his spirit, and thus release the anointing of God. The problem he faced was lack of clear biblical definition as to what his spirit felt like. So Mark looked up every verse in the Bible on heart and spirit.

Imagine That eBook

Imagine That eBook

by Rev. Jimmy D. Smith | 85 Pages

Beginning sometime around my 72nd year, my imagination really started to wake up again.  I was reading Dialogue with God, by Mark and Patti Virkler, when wheels began to turn.  In the weeks that followed I decided that this was a “do” book, not just a “read to learn” book. I began to do what the book suggested. Somewhere along the line I felt that the Lord gave me permission to experience the freedom of using my imagination to worship Him, to talk to Him, and more importantly to hear from Him.
