38 New Testament Verses on Fire

If of interest to you, prayerfully meditate through these verses and see what the Spirit reveals. Record in your journal what you discover. Remember, the words “eternal, everlasting, forever,” are actually “age-during.” Accept what Jesus said: "Everyone will be salted (or seasoned) with fire” (Mk. 9:49).

1. Mat_3:10  "The axe is already laid at the root of the trees; therefore, every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.
2. Mat_3:11  "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
3. Mat_3:12  "His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clear His threshing floor; and He will gather His wheat into the barn, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

31. Rev_3:18  “I advise you to buy from Me gold refined by fire so that you may become rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself, and that the shame of your nakedness will not be revealed; and eye salve to anoint your eyes so that you may see.”
32. Rev_14:10  “he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.”
33. Rev_15:2  “And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been victorious over the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God.”
34. Rev_19:20  “And the beast was seized, and with him the false prophet who performed the signs in his presence, by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image; these two were thrown alive into the lake of fire which burns with brimstone.”
35. Rev_20:10  “And the devil who deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are also; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.”
36. Rev_20:14  “Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire.
37. Rev_20:15  “And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.”
38. Rev_21:8  "But for the cowardly and unbelieving and abominable and murderers and immoral persons and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."
